The Astral Seal

The interval is changing.
After the events at Nabta Playa, Lucas Higgins knows the ancient sites scattered across the world are connected by something far older and far more complex than anyone imagined. But understanding the network is no longer enough.
Because something has started.
At a remote research station in Svalbard, what appears to be a routine satellite malfunction quickly becomes impossible to explain. Satellites operated by different organisations begin behaving in the same way, their instruments inexplicably orienting towards a single point beneath the North Atlantic.
Whatever they have detected isn't in orbit.
It's beneath the ocean.
As governments move to classify the anomaly and take control of the investigation, a scientist with an old connection to Lucas begins secretly passing him information. What she sees from above matches something Lucas has already encountered thousands of miles away.
The Inca Sundial at Machu Picchu.
With Susan Lucev at his side, Lucas returns to Byron's research and discovers the truth hidden within it. The Sundial was never simply recording the heavens.
It is a compass.
And it has started moving again.
As the anomaly beneath the Atlantic intensifies, the Order fractures over how to respond. Some believe the ancient network must be contained. Others believe humanity has spent long enough refusing to understand it.
Lucas and Susan are caught between them.
But this time, there is no opportunity to stand back and observe.
The network is progressing.
The Sundial is pointing the way.
And somewhere beneath the ocean, the next stage has already begun.
Because the Astral Seal isn't something waiting to be discovered.
It is an event.
And once it forms, the world will never see the ancient sites in the same way again.
